Engineering
Woods' world class engineering team is based in the Centre of Excellence in the UK. We use a variety of advanced simulation tools to optimise product designs for aero performance, efficiency and sound levels to ensure we provide the best solutions to any project.
Manufacturing
Woods' UK factory boasts 16,500sqm floor space and produces more than 100,000 fans annualy for a global market. We can manufacture fans up to 3.55m in diameter, utilising our in-house equipment including an x-ray machine, laser cutter and paintshop, providing the best quality, reliability and customisation to meet your requirements.
Testing
Once a concept is theoretically proven in the design stage, fans can be built and then tested in our state of the art laboratory. We can test aerodynamic efficiencies and acoustic levels; both induct and in our brand-new semi-anechoic chamber, as well as testing how our high-temperature fans perform in temperatures up to 400°C.
At the Centre of Excellence based in the UK, FlaktGroup have a world class Design and CFD team, supported by local specialists.
The Design team are focused on delivering the optimum design tailored to local regulatory requirements, optimising air quality, fire safety, installed cost and full life cycle costs.
We design smoke clearance, smoke control, temperature control and pollution control systems, using the latest techniques.
